The NRT Partnership was formed by northern people for northern people and continues to help build the northern economy on two levels; by providing training and career opportunities for northern people and by generating profits, which can be reinvested in developing further Aboriginal business ventures.

NRT strives to create a caring and nurturing environment in which the potential of all our people can develop and grow. At management level, there is an open-door policy that encourages communication. Throughout NRT, there is a spirit of co-operation and friendliness that creates a cohesive and productive workforce.

In a growing company, northern young people have numerous opportunities to develop skills that can open up rewarding career paths within NRT, or take them into other areas of industry with confidence.

Most NRT drivers start out as company drivers and, as they gain experience, can choose to be owner operators. Drivers can be company drivers or owner-operators. The majority of NRT drivers are owner-operators. This choice offers the independence of ownership alongside the security of steady runs, company support and a business 'family' to belong to. As well as being well-trained drivers, our NRT owner-operators are competent, independent business people.
